Tom Cotton to Hold Rally for David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler Thursday in Perry

ATLANTA, Georgia – U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is scheduled to headline a rally for U.S. Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) and U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) at a “Defend The Majority” rally in Perry on Thursday.

According to an emailed press release, the rally will “fire up” Georgia Republicans before next year’s January 5, 2021 runoff.

Organizers will hold the “Defend the Majority” rally at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 19 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, Miller-Murphy-Howard Building, Miller Room, at 401 Golden Isles Parkway in Perry, the press release said.

Cotton promoted the event in a video he uploaded to his Facebook page.

“The stakes of this election couldn’t be higher. Just look at Kelly Loeffler’s opponent Raphael Warnock, the most radical Democrat in the country,” Cotton said.

“After we knew that Jeremiah Wright said that God doesn’t bless America, God damns America, after Jeremiah Wright said the 9-11 act was America’s chickens coming home to roost, Raphael Warnock still celebrated. He celebrated Fidel Castro. He is the most radical Democrat anywhere in America. We cannot have him in the United States Senate.”

Democrat Jon Ossoff, meanwhile, is challenging Perdue for his seat.

People who attend Thursday’s rally may ask questions, take photographs, and spend time with Loeffler, Perdue, and Cotton, according to the press release.

Loeffler spokeswoman Caitlin O’Dea told The Georgia Star News in an email Wednesday that doors will open at 2 p.m.

“It will last an hour. Senator Tom Cotton, Senator Kelly Loeffler, and Senator David Perdue will all address the crowd,” O’Dea said.

“This will be a great opportunity to hear about their conservative vision for our state and why this election is critical to the future of our country!”

As The Star News reported this week, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) told an audience in Cumming that Perdue’s and Loeffler’s opponents “are just puppets for Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.”
